The discomfort is the tax, not the wall
Filming yourself feels wrong the first fifty times. That is normal and it does not mean you picked the wrong strategy.
My read is that most founders quit at the awkward stage because they treat the discomfort as a signal to stop. It is not. It is just the cost of doing something new in public.
The strange feeling of hearing your own voice, hating the first take, deleting three videos before posting one. That is the tax everyone pays. The people who scale are the ones who kept paying it after the excitement wore off.
